Overview
Har Ki Dun is a wide cradle-shaped valley at 3,566 m, walked into over two days from the roadhead at Sankri. The route follows the Supin river through Govind National Park, past villages built in a timber style that has not changed in centuries. It is a moderate trek rather than a hard one - the days are long instead of steep - which makes it a good first multi-day Himalayan walk.

The winter trek most people start with: pine forest under deep snow, a camp at Juda ka Talab, and a summit at 3,810 m that gives you the whole Garhwal range at sunrise.
